The Western Kentucky University and now New Jersey General wideout, Cam Echols-Luper. The 6-foot 195-pound wide receiver is a diamond in the rough. The killer speed with great hands and this wide recvier is hungry for an opportunity.

I talked to the wideout about what the goals were this season, this is what he had to say.

“Championship of course, but to be 1-0 every week is our goal. But personally, I just want to simple prove myself and others right.”

Looking at the 2017 season at Western Kentucky University (WKU). Echols-Luper was outstanding on special teams and on the offensive side of the ball. Looking at the receiving stats from Cam Echols-Luper at WKU the wideout was reliable. The WKU standout would appear in 10 games and would rack up 42 receptions with 473 yards while adding 4 touchdowns. Moving on to the special team aspect of the wideout’s career year at WKU; Echols-Luper would get 18 return attempts and would record 390 yards with an average of 21.7 yards a return. At the proday, Cam Echols Luper would record a 4.59 40 yard dash time. Pretty solid.

The wide out would bounce around some leagues, finding himself in The Spring League (TSL) Cameron Echols-Luper was apart of the Sea Lions in the 2021 TSL season. Echols-Luper would record 13 receptions for 193 yards. That was it for the wideout in The Spring League. However, that wasnt the end of the wideouts career. The New Jersey Generals of the USFL would give him another chance.

In 2022, the New Jersey Generals found a gem. The wideout would only have 3 receptions for 38 yards however there was more in store for Cameron Echols-Luper. The Generals would utilze the 6 foot wideouts speed–Luper would record 1 rush for 24 yards with a touchdown. The speed showed out on the kickoff returns, 24 return attempts for 680 yards. Great numbers!
