The former Massachusetts Pirates defensive back Devin Hafford has signed with the Michigan Panthers. Hafford played his college career at Tarleton State University he was pretty good.

College career:
The defensive back would record 243 tackles over his career at Tarleton. Hafford would also add 57 pass breakups and 12 interceptions. Over Haffords career he would record 2 touchdowns over his time at Tarleton State. Hafford is very good, he is a lockdown corner.
Pro career:
The Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of 2021 got his chance to shine with the New England Patriots as a UDFA, he would play some time with the Patriots in a preseason game. Hafford would later be released a couple of weeks later, however, The Toronto Argonauts of the CFL would make a move and sign the Tarleton standout DB. Hafford wouldn’t see much time, however, the Massachusetts Pirates would give him the chance to perform. The Pirates gave Hafford the time to showcase his talents and he performed with the Pirates.
Devin would talk about what it was like being apart of the Patriots and what he learned
“It was a great experience to be a part of the Patriots organization, being around current great players/ coaches and future hall of famers was a dream come true.” He would follow up with, “I learned a plethora amount of techniques being in New England, and ultimately how to be a professional; from my diet, sleep schedule, taking care of my body, etc. I didn’t have a choice, but to be a sponge playing for a Coach like Coach Bill Belichick and Brian Belichick.”

“Being a part of the Mass Pirates organization taught me to continue to stay humble, even though the IFL is one of the smaller leagues in North America, the Pirates have some really great talent in their organization. The practice was not a walk in the park. Ultimately, it taught me to continue to perfect my craft no matter where my career takes me.”
The Michigan Panthers sign Devin Hafford
The Panthers are signing the Tarleton defensive back late in the season. Hafford will improve the defense right away, it’s time to see how this goes!
