Kickin it with New England Sports Review, this article is going to touch base on every United State Football League (USFL) Kicker. Each and every one of the kickers deserves a chance and, the USFL is giving these guys the opportunity to do what they love to do.
Matt Coghlin New Orlean Breakers Kicker
Age 25
Height and Weight 5 foot 9 inches (5’9) 190 pounds
Won week 1 Special teams player of the Week.
First season in the USFL
The former Michigan State kicker had a phenomenal 2021 season, a great farewell season indeed! The kicker would go 12-19, with an overall Field goal percentage of 63.2%. Breaker fans, should be glad to have him. Extra Points, Matt was on the money! 41-41. The kicker would finish the 2021 season with 77 points.
Brandon Aubrey Birmingham Stallions Kicker
Age 28
Height and Weight 6 foot 3 inches (6’3) 208 pounds
Former Soccer player
The former soccer player showed out in his first football season. Brandon Aubrey was phenomenal for the Stallions, the new football player would go for 18-22 Field goals with an overall percentage of 82%! Stallions fans should expect the same results from Aubrey, the new football player played very well for his first season. On extra points, Aubrey would nail 22 of the 24 attempted extra points. The percentage of extra points was around 92%. The kicker would finish the season with 76 overall points!
Nick Vogel Houston Gamblers Kicker
Age 27
Height and Weight 5-foot 9-inches (5’9) 190 pounds
USFL Fans love Nick Vogel, one word to describe the kicker is consistent. This is Vogel second season in the USFL! The kicker would go 18-23 on Field goals with a percentage of 78.3%! Pretty good numbers in his first season with the Gamblers. On Extra points Vogel had made 12 out of his 15 attempts with a 80% average. Nick Vogel would finish his first USFL season with 66 points and has hopes to improve the numbers!
Nick Sciba New Jersey Generals Kicker
Age 23
Height and Weight 5-foot 9-inches (5’9) 191 pounds
First USFL season
Nick Sciba the former Wake Forest kicker was great in college. Phenomenal is one word to put it. The kicker would attempt 25 FG and would make 23 of them. 23-25 with a 92% great numbers in the Field goal category. In Extra points Sciba was on the money. 65-65 with an overall percentage of 100%. Nick Sciba is looking forward to this season and, hopes to carry the success into the pros.
Alex Kessman Memphis Showboats Kicker
Age 25
Height and Weight 5-foot 10 inches (5’10) 190 pounds
First USFL Seasson
Alex Kessman was great at Pittsburgh University, this is his first season in the USFL. He was on the New York Jets in 2021. Kessman was consistent at Pitt, the kicker would connect on 23 of the 29 attempted FG. (23-29) With an overall percentage of 79.3%. Alex Kessman was great with Extra points 31-32 with a percentage of 96.9%. The kicker would finish the 2020 season with 100 points! Expect good numbers from the kicker this season!
Nathan Hierlihy Pittsburgh Mauler Kicker
Age 29
Height and Weight 6-foot 2-inches (6’2) 170 Pounds
D3 Kicker
First USFL Season
Nathan Hierlihy was great at Redlands University, the former D3 kicker is finally getting his opportunity in the pros. Hierlihy would go 9-15 on field goals with an overall percentage of 60%. The kicker was great on Extra points going 35 out of 37 attempts with an overall percentage of 94.6% Great numbers! Mauler fans should expect the very best of Nathan Hierlihy, the kicker can be solid with time.
Cole Murphy Michigan Panthers Kicker
Age 27
Height and Weight 6-foot 3-inches 215 pounds
Phenomenal in 2022 with the Michigan Panthers
Cole Murphy was PHENOMENAL in 2022 with the Panthers, had a great season. The kicker would nail 11 field goals out of 12 attempts with a 91.7% percentage! The longest field goal he drilled was 60 yards. Murphy was great with extra points as well, 9-11 is pretty solid with a 81.8% avg. Cole Murphy would finish the season with 42 points.
Luis Aguilar Philadelphia Stars Kicker
Age 25
Height and Weight 6-foot 3-inches 200 pounds
Solid in 2022 with the Philadelphia Stars
Man oh man, what a year for this kicker in 2022. Luis Aguilar was very solid and showed great poise in his first professional season. Aguilar would drill 8 of his 10 Field goal attempts. 80% on FG is pretty solid. The Extra point aspect was perfect. Luis Aguilar would nail 19 out of 19 attempts, Luis Aguilar was perfect 100% on the season.
