This article is going to touch base on six USFL players that the New England Patriots should at least try out and take a look at.
Starting off with Johnnie Dixon, In 2018 with the Ohio State Buckeyes Dixon was incredible! The great route running and YAC ability is what makes Dixon stand out. In the 2018-19 season Johnnie would record 42 receptions for 669 yards with eight touchdowns. He shined and was a huge part of the Buckeyes offense. A couple years down the road he would join the New Orleans Breakers of the USFL and he would shine. USFL Stats below in the Tweet.
Next man up is Darius Harper, a guy I would LOVE to see in New England. The perfect swing tackle for the Pats. At Cincinnati Harper would start ten games and would shine at the tackle position. Good in pass protection and outstanding in the run blocking game. He is an all around talent. In 2020, the tackle would earn Honorable Mention All-American Athletic Conference and would earn his bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Darius Harper would recently play for the Birmingham Stallions, he would be a huge piece of the USFL Championship. More in the tweet below.
Boom! Looking for defense? Looking for two solid linebackers? Well you are in luck! Vontae Diggs and Kyahva Tezino are two linebackers I would take a look at. Both of them are tackling machines and all around solid players. Both have experienced time in New England.
Diggs went to UConn and would shine in his senior season. In 11 games, the Linebacker would record 77 tackles, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Vontae is a warrior and wants to win.
Tezino was outstanding at San Diego State University, in 2019 the Linebacker would record 99 tackles, ten and half tackles for loss, three and half sack, two interceptions, five pass breakups and two forced fumble. He was recently a part of the Patriots as a UDFA.

Here is a player I WOULD LOVE IN NEW ENGLAND AGAIN. Rodell Rahmaan is a tight end/special teams player I would love. Article soon… Tweet below!
Need for speed, Alexander Thomas a defensive back/ Special teamer is a guy I would enjoy on the Patriots. Very unique and a solid player for the Breakers defensive/Special teams unit. More about Alex Thomas in the tweet below, Check out the video.
Ricky Person Jr is a guy I would love to see on the Patriots roster. A big bruising running back who fights for every yard. At NC State, the RB would record 135 carries for 636 yards with five touchdowns. 4.7 yard average for the NC State Back, pretty great numbers. In the passing attack, Person would have 28 receptions for 240 yards with two touchdowns in the air. He is an all around talented back. He would recently play for the Massachusett Pirates and the Birmingham Stallions. Check out his USFL Stats in the Tweet below!
Writer Final thoughts: I would expect the Patriots to sign at least one USFL player or at the very least try some out. These are players I think the Patriots would enjoy having and players who will bring great skills to the roster. I say give them a chance at the very least.
