The star Defensive back out of Arkansas Tech University. Stanleigh Bently declared for the NFL draft and looking to live out his professional dreams.
The Defensive back would start the journey at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff where the 6’1 Defensive Back would have a pretty good 2021 season. Bentley would rack up 21 solo tackles, and 14 assisted tackles making the season-tacking total 35. I asked the Defensive back What led you to transfer from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff? Bentley would respond with “What led me to transfer was I needed a change of scenery. My dad died in fall camp of the 2020-2021 spring season, and my great-grandma died in the fall camp of the 2021-2022 season. With all of that I wanted change to reinvent myself.”
Moving forward with Stanleigh Bentley's college career, the star Defensive back would transfer to Arkansas Tech University. The decision paid off the 6’1 Defensive Back would rack up 26 tackles in the 2022 season also adding 1 sack as well as 3 forced fumbles. Bentley would have 1 interception with 3 deflected passes. The star Defensive Back would have a great college career. I asked Bentley What led to the decision of transferring to Arkansas Tech University? Anything that stood out to you? Bentley would reply with “Coach Josh Lawson at Arkansas Tech recruiting pitch to me was, “ Stanleigh we want you to come play for Arkansas Tech University. You’re like the hot girl in school all the guys want, if you want me like we want you, let’s gone kiss and get this think rolling!” I think that was the funniest conversation I’ve ever had with a coach he made me fee wanted.”
We are approaching the NFL draft, the moment every football player dreams of as a kid. We started talking about his NFL draft prep. Bentley would reply with “My daily draft prep consists of with the exception of Wednesdays being off/recovery days.”

To finish off the interview, I asked What should people expect from Stanleigh Bentley on the field? The defensive back would reply with “People should expect a disciplined maniac. I love the game, I play at a high level, and the competition makes me enthusiastic. I’m a caring teammate and a knowledge-seeking young man on and off the field.”
