“The Trilogy”

Travalle Calvin

“The Trilogy”

Written by Karver Jordan

Travalle Calvin an explosive Wide Receiver in the FCF, Big play after big play. Wherever Calvin is lining up, good luck stopping his defensive killing speeds. Let's take a look at Travalle Calvin's college career.

Travalle Calvin would go to Iowa Central Community College to start off his college career in 2017-18. In 3 games played Travalle Calvin would have 3 catches for 32 yards and that was all. Overall a good building point for Calvin to build off, the speed and talent were there. Travalle Calvin would transfer to Doane in 2018-19, Travalle Calvin wouldn’t see much time there but he would finish his college career with 88 yards and 2 touchdowns. Calvin was off to his pro career.

Travalle Calvin can do it all. Calvin had 2 rushing attempts for 34 yards, Calvin had great quickness with the ball being handed off to him. Calvin would have 16 receptions for 249 yards and 2 touchdowns. A stat that stood out was Calvins passing stats 1 passing attempt for 33 yards with a touchdown. I ask Calvin “What was it like throwing a touchdown as a WR?” Calvin replied, “It was definitely manifested when the new plays were shown to us and it was time to do them in practice I kept telling everyone I’m going to be the first WR the throw a touchdown and when it happened that same week it was definitely a memorable moment for me.” I would follow up with “What’s it like playing in the FCF?” Calvin would reply “Playing in the FCF is an honor on and off the field it’s everything you want it to be you can be a guy that’s in the shadows or you can be the guy that’s in the limelight but it all comes down to how well you can compete.”

Game film Review

Travalle Calvin is very fast and has the ability to break tackles. If he slips out of your tackle attempt its off the races. Calvin will walk into the endzone, His release makes the cornerbacks look lost. The Jumpball game is elite, if it 1 on 1 throw it where he can get the ball. Once he has the ball in his hands, it's very hard to stop him. I would ask the wideout What are your goals for 2023? Calvin would reply with “Proving to myself that I am who I say that I am! Last season I was a top 10 receiver and I want to be #1 if not top 5.”
