The NFL draft prospect, Langston University quarterback Tripp Harrington. This quarterback had a great college career at Langston. Let's take a look at the college amazing career.
In Tripps Harrington's final college season, the quarterback would have a great sendoff season! Looking at the rushing aspect of Harrington, very solid at running the ball. The Dual-threat would have 69 rushing attempts for 81 yards with 4 touchdowns. Very solid numbers, Very strong runner. Harrington was asked the question of how he will improve his running ability, and the dual-threat quarterback would reply with “ As a runner, I believe I am a pretty good runner and only run when I have to. I know in today's game there are more QB-designed runs. I don’t want to be known as a running QB but as a QB that can run
Looking at Harrington's passing stats, the Dual-threat quarterback would have 204 attempts completing 108 of those. Out of the 108 completions, Harrington would have 2500 yards for 25 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. The Langston quarterback would average 219.9 yards a game, those are great numbers. I asked Harrington what will he improve in the passing game. The quarterback would reply with “Getting through my progressions faster and also better footwork in the pocket when pressure is around me. I’m working on not having to escape but move slightly in the pocket to make a throw.”
Tripp Harrington would compete in the HBCU Legacy bowl game. Harrington would strive in the game. We talked about the HBCU legacy game. The quarterback talked about the game “The Legacy Bowl was just a blessing. It was an amazing experience getting to meet all so many great people in our sport. Legends like Doug Williams and James “Shaq” Harris. Getting to meet guys like Charles Davis and Steve Wyche. The legacy bowl is memorable because I got to be amongst the best in HBCU and me being from the smallest school I felt I proved myself on the biggest stage and I love that and can’t wait to continue.”
We started talking about his future plans and what teams should expect from the quarterback.
What should pro teams know about Tripp Harrington? “They should know that I am a hard worker and I am willing to play this game for free that is how much I love football so they won’t ever have to question my passion. I pick up the playbook quickly and I’m very coachable. Pro teams should know they are getting not only an athlete but a coach on the field as well a student of the game.”
Tripp Harrington is a quarterback in the NFL draft (2023) I asked him what his draft process is like. Tripp would respond with “Training Training and more Training. I train 6 days a week and even on my off day I’m doing a little something. Just being a pro prospect means something to me and I want to take full advantage of it. I want to thank my strength and speed coach Mook Bagley who definitely made me a better athlete I still remember the first day of training I almost died, and it hasn’t gotten easier but I’ve improved more than I ever thought. I also want to thank my QB Coach Brandon Noohi he has been a blessing also helping me with my mechanics and footwork and also just film study trying to get better overall.”
Moving on to who Harrington looked up to “My mother and father are the people I look up to they got me started in football and pushed me to be the best I can be. I would say my best friend Bobby Price who plays for the Detroit LionsI wouldn’t be in the position that I am in today if it wasn’t for him blood couldn’t bring us any closer. My younger brother Justin I didn’t necessarily look up to him but we make each other better and I couldn’t do it without him. look out for him in the 2024 NFL draft cause he’ll be a top pick. My God brother Marius Cooper has been a blessing we grew up together playing Pop Warner and we haven’t looked back since I talked to him almost everyday he just keeps me going to be the best I can be.”
