The former University of Kentucky defensive back Quandre Mosely is going to be a name to watch this offseason. The former Cowboy is ready to showcase his talents in New England with the Patriots. Mosely became a Patriot on 12/5/22, he made his NFL debut on 1/1/23. The DB has been with the Pats for quite some time and hopes to make an impact on the defense and special teams.
Quandre Mosely, New England Patriot DB
Age: 23
Height and Weight: 6 foot 2 inches (6’2”) 185 pounds
Proday:
40-Yard Dash: 4.32 seconds. Thoughts -> Great speed for a bigger DB.
Vertical jump: 36 Inches. Thoughts -> Great vertical. Very athletic player.
College career:
One word to describe the college career of the 6’2” DB is exceptional. Quandre Mosley was a very well-rounded player. Mosley would play in 36 games and would record 69 total tackles. 13 pass deflections are great as well, the kid was in lockdown at Kentucky. 3 interceptions and 1 touchdown on the season were outstanding numbers. Quandre Mosely left his mark at Kentucky, a great overall career from the kid.
Pros/Cons
Pros:
Athletic
Great size
Great at tackling
Good ball skills
Cons:
2022 PFF Overall grade 60.9
Final Thoughts:
My final thought on Quandre Mosely is to give the kid time. I have not heard a bad word about the kid. The DB just needs an opportunity, he is open to anywhere on the special teams unit. Quandre just wants to play football. When a 6’2” DB runs a 4.3 40 time they deserve the chance to play ball, whether it’s on defense or being a gunner on punts/kickoffs; The kid deserves the chance to prove himself.
I fully believe in Quandre Mosely to make an impact this year.
