Shawn Bowman

Shawn Bowman: UMaine Tightend
Height and Weight: 6 foot 5 inches (6’5”)
College Seasons: 5 Seasons
The 6’5” Tightend is still improving his game, the kid is going to be special in the pros. Bowman has one more college season to go until that point. Professional scouts should be watching the TE this upcoming season and taking notes.
College Career so far:
Shawn Bowman was dominant every season he appeared in. The kid would have 86 receptions for 960 yards with 11 touchdowns --- Those statics are out of the 34 games Bowman appeared in. At first glance, those are great numbers! I would expect the 2023 season to be his best year yet. The kid is hungry for an opportunity, this kid is going to be special.
Playstyle:
Height and Weight are great, a big-bodied tightend who can do it all! The 6’5” framed tightend should be great in the red zone. The game of football has changed from the blocking scheme to the passing game. Bowman would fit into any passing attack, with great speed, and great hands.
My final thoughts:
My final thought about the UMaine TE is that it really depends on how he is used. The Black bears should adapt to a passing attack and get Bowman out wide, it’ll be an automatic mismatch for the DB. I trust Jordan Stevens the UMaine football Head coach to use Bowman in the best way he can, expect big numbers from the TE.
