Height and Weight 5 foot 8 inches (5’8) 209 Pounds

The fan-favorite running back of the New Jersey Generals. Darius “Vito” Victor, is low to the ground and will power through the Defensive line for positive yardage. This is the second time that Darius Victor will be a part of the Generals roster. Before the USFL Victor bounced around a few NFL teams but never saw the field. Let’s take a look at the journey of the 5’8 RB.

2020 XFL Experience

The 5’8 209 pound running back performed very well in the XFL before it got shut down due to Covid 19 pandemic. Darius Victor was on the New York Guardians and would perform pretty solid. On 55 rushing attempts the low to the ground running back would record 238 yards with an average of 4.3 yards a carry. If the XFL never shut down, Victor could of continued to produce numbers every game. The RB would finish the shortened season being the team-leading rusher.

The 2022 Inaugural season of USFL

The first inaugural season of the USFL was a success for the whole league and especially Darius Victor. The New Jersey Generals drafted the running back in round 6, and the rest was history. “The Bowling Ball” was a nickname given to Darius Victor due to his size and speed. On 127 rushing attempts the RB would rush for 576 yards with 9 touchdowns, those 9 TD led the whole league in touchdowns. Give the ball to number 27 he is going to produce, it’ll take more than one guy to bring this guy down. With those numbers, Vito would become one top guy in the league. A fan favorite.

Leading up to the 2023 season of the USFL

I got the chance to speak with Darius Victor ahead of the 2023 season, I asked him what should General fans expect from him in season number two and why he decided to return.

“General Fans should expect a player who appreciates the opportunity and will make of the best of every play he gets.” Victor said, “I chose to return to the USFL because I couldn’t leave the General family plus I’m one of the faces of the league.”

In the offseason, Victor was ready to go and to produce better numbers from the 2022 season. The 5’8 running back and I spoke about what the preparation was like and what the offseason consisted of.

“This offseason I just stayed in shape, nothing specific just making sure I came into camp in great shape.” Victor Said
